At CHELSEA Salon our goal is to give you great hair, a great experience- and also to maintain the health and wellness for our community.

COVID-19 has changed the way that salons operate and we want to make sure that you feel prepared, comfortable and safe when you visit us.





Honesty is the best policy.

We look forward to your appointment as much as you do- but it's really important that you let us know if you are experiencing (or if you are caring for someone who has) symptoms of COVID-19 so we can reschedule your visit.


We promise to do the same to keep you and your loved ones safe.





We value your time.

In order to make sure we can provide your full service we ask that allow enough time for parking and text check-in when coming to your appointment.


Please make sure to send your stylist a text as soon as you park so they can let you know when they are ready for you to come inside.





We are following the rules.

Our stylists are all committed to the State requirements regarding Safety and Sanitation, and to preventing the spread of illness- including COVID 19.

In order to stay open and stay healthy we have adopted systems that insure we are going above and beyond when it comes to keeping ourselves and our guests healthy.


In addition to maintaining a sanitary environment, we are also required to pre-screen each guest.

Before each appointment we will need you to answer a series of questions and provide some personal information that will be held for 60 days.

We will not share your information with anyone unless required to do so by the County Health Department/ State of Oregon.



What will a visit at CHELSEA be like with the new COVID-19 restrictions?



MASKS:

Masks are mandatory for clients and stylists.

If you do not have a mask, or if you'd like to avoid coloring your favorite mask, please let us know before you arrive so we can have one set aside for you. (Some providers may charge a fee to provide a mask- so it's always good to ask or plan ahead.)


COVID-19 SCREENING:

Before you arrive please complete the online COVID-19 screening form. This should be done the day of your visit so that the information is accurate. Paper forms are available in the salon, please inform your stylist ahead of time if you are unable to complete the online screening.


APPOINTMENT CHECK-IN:

When you arrive, please wait in your car and text your stylist to let them know you've arrived. They will let you know as soon as they are ready for you to come in.

We ask that you do not come in until you have received a message from you stylist so that we can properly disinfect and prepare for you.


UPON ARRIVAL:

After you come inside we will ask you to wash your hands. Temperature checks are not required in Oregon, however we may opt to check your temperature using a contact free thermometer.


STAYING ENTERTAINED:

At this time we can not offer drinks or magazines, so please hydrate ahead of time and charge up your phone so you can enjoy some screen time using or WiFi, or feel free to bring in a good book to keep you busy while your color develops.


SANITATION FEE:

Due to the extra costs involved in preparing for each client we are collecting a COVID-19 fee of $3.00 prior to each appointment.

This fee is in addition to any other costs that your stylists may have added to cover the extra time needed to adhere to the new State requirements.

It's best to pay this in advance of your appointment if possible using the link below.


ONE CLIENT AT A TIME:

We ask that you please come to your appointment alone.

At this time we can only have clients inside of the salon at the time of their service.

The only exception to this is when a parent must accompany a child to an appointment.

BLOW DRYING:

There is some evidence to show that blow drying could extend the spread or reach of COVID-19, so while it is not forbidden in Oregon to blow-dry hair, some stylists have chose to eliminate or reduce this part of the service whenever possible.

We do suggest that you talk to your stylist ahead of time to see if this part of your service can be avoided, or if you have any questions.


HIGH RISK CLIENTS:

For any clients that may be at a higher risk, we have specific hours that allow us to work with you using a higher level of precautions during quite (less busy hours) in the salon. These days and times are limited- so if this would be ideal for you please reach out to your stylist directly to schedule.


CONTACT FREE SHOPPING:

You can pick out your products right here on our website- using the link on our home page.

Simply select "Pick Up" and add a note saying what date you'll be in- and we will have your order ready for you when you arrive.

You can also choose this option if you don't have an appointment- and we will contact you once your order is place to arrange a pick up time.


DOORSTEP DELIVERY:

We are still offering this service for local clients. Products selected will be left on your doorstep for a contact free delivery.


IN SALON SHOPPING:

We ask that you please let your stylist handle any products that you choose to purchase while in the salon to insure a clean, sanitary space. If you'd like to try any testers while in the salon they can help with that as well. ​


ONE LAST THING:

We are not here to judge any hair decisions made during quarantine- but we do need to know about them before your visit.

Make sure to share any home hair decisions with your stylist ahead of time so we can make sure you are booked for the best possible service to suit your situation and goals.
